Product Description

Overlap Blocking Filter Pass 39-60

A range of UHF band-pass filters from Proception, intended for blocking unwanted reception of transmissions from an adjacent region.

The introduction of high-power digital transmissions has led to problems with some receivers selecting multiplexes from out-of-area transmitters, leaving confused viewers watching the wrong regional services, or even listening to the wrong language!

Although this problem should be solved in the longer term by receiver developments, the use of band-pass filters can provide a quick, simple and cost effective solution, saving installers frequent call-backs.

Other Applications:

The entire range offers excellent cut-off below 470MHz and will help with problems from TETRA, telemetry and 70cm amateur band transmissions. Above channel 62 all versions will help solve GSM mobile phone interference problems, while the A and B models will additionally help suppress the forthcoming LTE (4G) signals.

Features:

  • Optimised pass-bands cover most UK requirements in just four versions.
  • Good out-of band rejection helps block TETRA and GSM, also LTE Guide And FAQ">LTE (4G), depending on model.
  • F type connectors for good screening factor, helping prevent leakage around the filter.
  • Good 75O match throughout the pass-band.
  • DC blocked, no damage if inadvertently line-powered (24VDC max).
  • Optional weatherproof outdoor housing available.
  • Equipotential bonding terminal.

Frequently Asked Questions

The Overlap Blocking Filter (OBF) Pass 39-60 is a specialised filtering mechanism used in digital signal processing, primarily in communications systems. It is designed to attenuate interference and enhance signal quality within the frequency range spanning from 39 to 60 Hz.
OBF Pass 39-60 is distinctive in its ability to target interference and noise within a specific frequency band, namely 39-60 Hz. This narrow focus allows for precise filtration, improving signal clarity and reliability compared to broader filtering approaches.

Response from Blake UK in every respect was very good and the product purchased is excellent. My only criticism is that the package that my omni FM/Dab aerial was sent in could have had more packing material as the carton was damaged in transit with a part of the product sticking out.

Good, well made coaxial TV antenna and F-Type satellite socket wall plate. It works well. The packaging could have done with some bubble wrap around the socket though for protection.

I already knew Blake from years ago. They are a quality vendor. The first BLA-LP56K was damaged by the courier in transit and they replaced it straightaway no quibbles the next day. This worked a treat in the loft with a masthead amp (have power in big loft). C/N : 30dB, sig: 100%, quality:100%: BER: 0.0. The aerial was connected into an IRS as the rooftop aerial had failed probably due to water ingress in the balun and I was quoted from £250 - £450 for a replacement outside antenna, probably because we have a very tall house/outside installation. Why bother when you know a log in the loft is going to work 11 miles from a 200kW station. As Blake say this is suitable for medium or strong signal areas but the addition of the masthead boosts the signal nicely for all round the house distribution.
