Our 4-way Passive optical receiver is designed for FTTH (Fibre to the Home) networks and does not require an additional power supply. Housed in a robust zinc die-cast enclosure with nickel plating, it provides reliable signal conversion without active components.
This unit can also be used across a range of applications, including long-haul fibre networks, data centres, security systems, CATV networks, RF-over-Fibre systems, medical imaging, broadcast A/V systems, and satellite communications.
What is a Passive Optical Splitter?
A passive optical splitter acts as an end-point that receives and converts incoming optical signals into electrical signals, enabling data transmission over the network. Unlike active receivers, it requires no external power source or internal electronic amplification.
Features:Primarily intended for FTTH use, this receiver is also suitable for use in data infrastructure, RF-over-Fibre systems, CATV, and more. I’m pleased with the ærial overall. I did have to fix two separate issues though… 1. Many of the elements were bent, some quite badly. Happily they all bent straight again without any fatigue fracture. 2. Many of the elements were not seated properly in the booms. In one case, a vertical element was touching one on the other boom. I was able to pull the unseated ones out to seat better but I’m not sure how long they’ll stay like this.

Blake UK provide an outstanding service. We recently moved into a new home and the existing TV signal reception was limited to a few flaky channels. I have never faced an issue like this before and wasn't sure if our smart TV, cabling or aerial were at fault. Rhys and the comprehensive information on the Blake UK website (including directional data for my nearest transmitter) resolved the problem very fast. A new and specific aerial, mast pole, clamps and instructions were efficiently dispatched and received the following day. I now have 844 channels! I should mention that during the installation the option to check signal strength and clarity on a Sony Bravia TV can be found in the 'Settings / Help / Signal Diagnostics' menu section.
