Product Description
POYNTING Antennas introduces its all-new marine antenna enclosure range, the Ripple antenna enclosure, which forms part of the WaveHunter series. The Ripple antenna enclosure is designed to fit a variety of router and networking modules, transforming the antenna enclosure into a CPE (Customer Premises Equipment) device, you just need to add your own LTE/5G routers. The Ripple enclosure can accommodate routers up to the size of 300 x 250 x 110 mm³, which can be mounted directly onto the base.
The flagship unit will be the Ripple-16 antenna array that consists of 16 cross-polarised, omni-directional antennas arranged in a cross-polarised orientation with 8 x vertically and 8 x horizontally polarised, for improved performance. There is also the Ripple-8 antenna solution, which contains 8 cross-polarised, omni-directional antennas with 4 x vertically and 4 x horizontally polarised.
Both antennas offer wideband coverage from 617 to 7200 MHz, with a peak gain of 9.5dBi. Making them ideal for multi-router LTE & 5G bonded and aggregated deployments. The enclosure was designed to withstand adverse weather conditions, making the antenna weatherproof with an IP65 rating. The antenna enclosure was designed specifically for marine & coastal applications.
Installation Advisory:
Please be aware, when installing the Ripple-8/Ripple-16, it is essential that power tools must not be used when opening or closing the antenna. Using power tools can cause severe damage to the screws and result in installation delays. We recommend using only a ratchet wrench or allen key (aka a hex key), as specified in the manual. Additionally, please note that there is a visible orange section on the base that indicates where the radome can be lifted, as the hinge is not visible.

A lightning protector may want to be considered on the Ethernet cables leading from this antenna in order to protect the internal circuit of the boat in the extremely unlikely event that the antenna itself is directly struck by lightning.

I had a bit of a struggle with their online ordering, I managed to raise an order as "collection" rather than delivery by courier. However Blake's went out of their way to fix the problem. Otherwise their on-line service produces a good transaction trail.
