Preparation and Implementation of Benchmarking

<- Aerial Benchmarking Scheme |

Many existing aerials and future projects will be developed/redeveloped with the Benchmarking scheme in mind. Blake UK now intends to develop all future UHF TV aerials to benchmark standards. Aerials are developed at Blake UK premises at Sheffield and if required as actual Benchmarked products are submitted to a recognized UKAS accredited test house for full Benchmark testing.

Upon receipt of a set of calibration data showing the aerial as a pass, a certificate for the level of pass is applied for to the CAI (Confederation of Aerial Industries). An aerial that has achieved a pass can hold the certificate for a period of time until a scheduled retest is due, at which point the aerial will maintain certification if it passes.

All manufacturers may develop aerials that could achieve a benchmark pass but the aerials developed may be prototypes and could potentially never be introduced into the market due to high manufacturing costs, Blake UK aim to implement any aerials that achieve a pass into the market as soon as possible.

Blake UK have products that have passed all the benchmark standards.
